Disclaimer for The Community Mediation Service Station

The Community Mediation Service Station ("the Service") provides free mediation services to ethnic minorities and grassroots families in the Yau Tsim Mong District, Hong Kong, with the aim of promoting harmony and resolving disputes amicably. By using this service, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:   

1. Voluntary Participation – Mediation is a voluntary process, and all parties must willingly engage in good faith to reach a mutually acceptable resolution.   

2. Confidentiality – Discussions during mediation are confidential and shall not be disclosed to external parties without consent, except where required by law.   

3. Non-Legal Advice – Our mediators do not provide legal advice. If legal rights or obligations are involved, parties are encouraged to seek independent legal counsel.   

4. No Guarantee of Outcome – While mediation aims to facilitate resolution, the Service does not guarantee that all disputes will be resolved.   

5. Impartiality – Mediators act as neutral facilitators and do not take sides or impose decisions.   

6. Liability – The Service, its mediators, and affiliated organizations are not liable for any actions, outcomes, or consequences arising from the mediation process.   

7. Eligibility – Services are prioritized for ethnic minorities and grassroots families in the Yau Tsim Mong District. The Service reserves the right to assess and determine eligibility.   

8. Amendment of Terms – The Service may update this disclaimer without prior notice.
